Our first time with Gopher Dogs was excellent. We had gone away for a week and were very concerned about leaving our two boxers in a kennel. I had found Gopher Dogs over the internet and immediately called. Matt came out to meet us. He was great with the dogs and was very professional. When finding out my dog sitter had to cancel (the day before I left on my trip), I didn't know who to call. After finding Gopher Dog's online and calling, Matt came over to my house for a last minute consultation and to meet my dog, Juneau. He did this within 2 hours of calling the service. While I was out of town, Matt had a few concerns with my koi pond. After not being able to contact me, he went out of his way to call a pond specialist and fix the issue. Now that's great service! I would never use another dog sitting/pet walking service other than Gopher Dogs!! Matt is friendly, dependable, trustworthy and flexible, and my "babies" just love him!! The first time that I entrusted my pups to Matt's care while out of town I could tell how well cared for they were. When I returned they were, of course, happy to see me, but they displayed no signs of anxiety like they often do when I'm away which is a clear sign of how comfortable, secure and at ease Matt made them feel. It's was as though I had only been gone for a few hours. In addition, Matt is very responsive. He always replies to my text messages and phone calls when I'm checking in to see how everything is going, and he makes me feel at ease. Lastly, I LOVE the Doggie Diaries!!! (I created a notebook to keep all of them in.) I felt like my pups were really writing to me every day. Matt has such a great sense of humor when writing "on behalf of my pups!

Our dogs are like our kids...just won't leave them with anyone. We love to travel and just have not been able to as much since the joining of our two families resulted in 3 dogs and a cat. I cannot say how highly I think of Gopher Dogs and the level of service they provided while I was on a recent vacation. My two dogs are like my children, and I have never left them in the care of a non family member prior to Gopher Dogs. Gopher Dogs was wonderful! They took pictures of my babies, wrote a diary about their visits each day, and overall I had a great experience. So good in fact I will be using them again in less than a week. Because we had recently moved to the area, our dogs were just getting familiar and comfortable on our new home. We enjoyed the fact that we did not have to stress them out by taking them to a kennel when we had to go away for a few days. They were able to stay in their familiar surroundings,and have their normal routine. They were much happier than when we stress them out by taking them to a kennel. It was wonderful!

In Oklahoma I always had family to leave Lucy with when I went on trips. I didn't know what I was going to do when I came to Charlotte. I was more than overjoyed to find out that Heather's husband Matt had a dog sitting business. After meeting Matt I knew that Lucy would be in great care!! What a relief to my mind to know that I could leave her in her comfortable surroundings and have someone visit her, instead of kenneling a very scared, timid dog. Though Lucy hid under the bed, I know that she was wagging her tail and wanting to come out to play!! I will always use Gopher Dogs to watch my baby girl!!!

These guys do everything they can to work within your schedule. Matt was gracious enough to try and pick up the training techniques I am working on with my dogs and that consistency is crucial to the success of the training. They've also been working on keeping enough staff to cover the city so that client's needs can be met. Of course, there's the Dog Diary, which is very cute and most enjoyable to read at the end of my day.
